Dr Jennifer McGowan uses science to inform smarter decisions for the planet. She holds diverse roles across private, academic and environmental institutions primarily focused on integrating biodiversity science into global and regional strategies. As a decision scientist, she helps structure and prioritize actions for a sustainable future - be it through global finance initiatives, supply chain opportunity mapping, or landscape-level conservation. She bridges and builds capacity in technical skills to improve ROI for nature and business through the use of optimization methods, ecological knowledge, and structured decision-making. She has published over 40 peer-reviewed publications in the field of conservation science and hold affiliate research positions at The Center for Biodiversity and Conservation Science at The University of Queensland, and The Center for Biodiversity Outcomes at Arizona State University.
