Shelly Gottschamer

Circularity, Social Labor, Supply Chain, Preferred Fibre, Traceability, Strategy.

Shelly is an apparel supply chain veteran who understands the reality of how social and environmental policies translate on both the factory floor and the bottom line. Starting with Levi’s San Francisco, Shelly has served in sourcing/sustainability roles with leading global brands, including Patagonia, Crocs, Canada Goose, and Roots. As VP of Global Programs & Stakeholder Engagement at Accelerating Circularity, Shelly worked to advance circular solutions within the apparel industry. Later, as Chief Sustainability Officer with Outerknown, she led this startup through Fair Labor Association (FLA) accreditation before manufacturing began – an FLA first. Her industry engagements include: Social Labor Convergence Program working group chair, Sustainable Apparel Coalition Strategic Council member, and advisor at Bard, the Responsible Business Alliance / Fordham University, and Outdoor Industry Association. Shelly sits on several boards and is currently the Managing Director of Treadle Tree, a boutique consultancy.
